Towing
Tow steps fit to an existing or new tow-bar* by means of outrigger plates. The treads are spaced apart to allow the tow-hitch to be fully utilised with minimal risk of fouling.
Tow steps can be supplied as a double-tread unit (pictured) or with a hinged centre tread which can be flipped up out of the way to allow a trailer to be hitched, but provides a full-width tread when not towing.
At present, we offer dedicated towing steps to fit PCT Automotive tow-bars. We have, however, worked with other tow-bar suppliers in the past and will be happy to offer a quotation for a step to fit whatever equipment your vehicle mounts.
*We can supply new PCT tow-bars, hitches and electrical components where required. Please call for a quote.
Non-Towing
Non-towing steps fasten to the vehicle's existing tow-bar mounting points, where a tow-bar is not fitted.
The special design of the step subframe allows it to collapse in the even of an accidental collision, thus reducing the likelihood of damage to the vehicle's chassis.
Universal Fitment
Our UniGripper universal fitment step is the perfect solution where a full tow-bar mounted unit is not required, or where fitting a towbar and dedicated step would be difficult or even impossible - a good example is the Fait Ducato/Citroen Relay/Peugeot Boxer range of vehicles.
The UniGripper mounts onto an existing tow-bar by sandwiching the mounting bracket between the tow-bar face-plate and the towing ball/ball-and-pin fitting.
UniGripper steps will fit most towbars with a standard two-, four- or six-hole M16, 90,0mm pitch faceplate.
ALL GRIPPER STEPS CAN BE SUPPLIED WITH OR WITHOUT REVERSING SENSORS. PLEASE CALL FOR A QUOTE.
